Q&A

Common Questions

Please read first as your question may already be answered here.

If your question is not answered, please contact either Mimi or Tim.

Does Mimi also love Tim?

Yes, most of the time.

What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive with ample time before the ceremony. We recommend arriving by 5:30 PM, and allowing further time for parking. Our ceremony will start promptly on time - not on Tim-time!

What about parking?

There is ample paid parking in the immediate area with several lots directly adjacent to or behind the main venue area that are well lit. The hotel also offers paid, valet parking.

What should I wear?

The attire is formal. Feel free to ask Mimi (not Tim) if you have any questions. For ladies, we kindly ask you to refrain from wearing white, champagne, ivory, cream-colored, or other attire in this color family.

Can I bring a date?

We plan to have a set number of our family and loved ones for our wedding. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only and we ask other guests to please not bring a plus one.

Can I bring my children?

While we love kids, we plan to have a set number of our family and loved ones for our wedding. We kindly ask that you make arrangements for your young ones so you can join us for our celebration. Your invitation will indicate if your child is invited to our wedding.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Both the wedding and reception are entirely indoors and air-conditioned. This is Louisiana we're talking about.

Photography?

While we encourage you to take as many photos and videos as you'd like during the reception, we are having a phone-free ceremony! We will have a whole team of awesome photographers and videographers documenting the wedding and reception. While we appreciate the enthusiasm, let's leave it to the experts for this one.

What is the food situation?

We will be having a New Orleans style cocktail reception! This means no assigned seats and no plated dinners. Instead, there will be plenty of passed hor d'oeuvres, along with main food stations set up within the reception ballroom. This means less time spent waiting for food, and more time to party!

What is the bar situation?

Open bar. Come on now.

For the out of town'ers

What is the weather like in May?

Very humid. Early mornings and evenings can range from 60F - 70F with the daytime being in the 80's - mid 90's.

Where can I stay?

We have some pre-reserved hotel blocks within the venue and across the street. Please see the "Hotels & Travel" tab of this website.

How do I get around within the city?

If you are staying at either hotel listed in the travel section of this website you can walk to our venue(<3min). The downtown area where the venue is located is quite walkable. If you are staying elsewhere or plan to see the city, we recommend renting a car or using ride-share services like Uber/Lyft - do not rely on public transportation.

Will there be a crawfish boil?

No. Why would there be a crawfish boil at a wedding? Are you insane? The bride wears white!

Am I allowed to say "Nawlins"

No.
